JULIAN NAPIER
STORIES IN FILM
AND PHOTOGRAPHY
SOME STUFF ABOUT ME:
I'm a filmmaker and photographer, working, adapting, evolving for over twenty five years. I've done a bundle of totally unrelated, creatively detached projects from filming people in lycra on skates (Starlight Express 3D), to photographing an epic reenactment of the life and times of William Shakespeare (Harper Collins) to filming the first ever 3D aerials over London (The London Eye 4D Experience) to bringing the operas Carmen and Madam Butterfly to the big screen in 3D for Royal Opera House and RealD, to making camomile tea for Steven Spielberg (HOOK 1991 - I was a runner and even have an on screen credit).
I've also given 3D panel talks at NAB, MIPCOM, Cannes, BVE, and been a technical consultant for SKY TV the BBC and the Chinese Ministry of Culture in Beijing so someone out there thinks I know what I'm talking about even if I'm still winging it most of the time and trying not to take myself too seriously.
Every act of creation is a pushback against the forces of destruction. Knit a scarf, turn a pot, build a treehouse, write a song. We have a spiritual duty to create and it's more fun in company, so get in touch if you fancy battling the forces of destruction together.
SOME COOL STUFF SAID ABOUT ME:
